During the second wave of Corona, many community based organizations had expressed numerous challenges they were facing in accessing authentic information various critical aspects of the pandemic, such as testing, precautions, treatments and vaccination including vaccine hesitancy and the mis-information surrounding the same. To bridge this gap of information, Sama had organized several orientations/interactions on COVID, Covid home care, diagnostics, treatment, vaccination and hesitancy, preparedness for future pandemic surges, strategies for prevention, treatment, etc., for the benefit of grassroots health and women’s groups across many states.
To respond to yet another phase of the pandemic throwing up new challenges, on 21 January 2022, Sama conducted another orientation workshop for community based groups on the challenges posed by the ‘third wave’ of Corona and what could be the ways to cope with these.
The online workshop was conducted by Dr. Yogesh Jain, Public Health physician involved in community health programmes in rural and tribal areas of the state of Chhattisgarh for over 25 years. कोरोना की ‘तीसरी लहर’ की चुनौतियों से निपटने के तरीकों पर कार्यशाला
कोरोना की दूसरी लहर के दौरान, कई सामाजिक संस्थाएं कोरोना के विभिन्न महत्वपूर्ण पहलुओं – जैसे कि परीक्षण, सावधानियां, उपचार और टीकाकरण के बारे में विश्वसनीय जानकारी प्राप्त करने करने की इच्छा व्यक्त किये थे। पिछले दिनों में समा ने कई राज्यों के जमीनी स्तर के संगठनों और महिला समूहों के लिए कोरोना बिमारी के अलग अलग पहलुओं पर चर्चा और कार्यशालाओं का आयोजन किया था।
महामारी के एक और चरण में नई चुनौतियों का सामना करने के लिए, 21 जनवरी 2022 को समा ने कोरोना की ‘तीसरी लहर’ से उत्पन्न चुनौतियों पर समुदाय आधारित समूहों के लिए एक और कार्यशाला आयोजित की।
यह ऑनलाइन कार्यशाला का संचालन डॉ. योगेश जैन द्वारा किया गया। डॉ. जैन एक जन स्वास्थ्य चिकित्सक हैं, जो 25 वर्षों से अधिक समय से छत्तीसगढ़ के ग्रामीण और आदिवासी क्षेत्रों में सामुदायिक स्वास्थ्य कार्यक्रमों में शामिल हैं। कार्यशाला में कई राज्यों के 300 से अधिक स्वास्थ्य कार्यकर्ताओं और जमीनी स्तर के संगठनों के प्रतिनिधियों ने भाग लिया। यह कार्यशाला की रिकॉर्डिंग है।
