On the occasion of World Health Day, 7th April, we have prepared two zine posters on Sickle Cell Disease (SCD) that aim to capture the imagination of SCD beyond the biomedical framework, exploring what it truly means to live with the condition. They reflect the everyday realities of those affected: the psychosocial weight that SCD carries, the communities that hold people through it, and the deeper questions of well being, identity, and belonging. We share these posters in solidarity with all those marginalised by systems that too often fail them — and in hope of building communities that centre rights, dignity, and compassionate care for all.
