On July 25, 2025, the Sama Resource Group for Women and Health held a state-level workshop titled Sickle Cell Disease: A Social & Gendered Issue and Perspectives in Raipur, Chhattisgarh. The participants in this workshop were men and women who have lived with Sickle Cell Disease, representatives from Community Based Organisations (CBOs), Mitanins, Mitanin trainers, public health experts, researchers, and members of patient support groups.
