Sama in coordination with the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department of Swami Dayanand Hospital organized an orientation session with Healthcare Providers on ‘Medico-Legal care of the Survivors of Sexual Violence’ at Swami Dayanand Hospital on October 9, 2015.
Sama had requested Dr. Monika Gupta -Nodal Officer for One Stop Centre at Safdarjung Hospital to be the resource person for the orientation who took the technical session on clarifying response towards survivors of sexual violence in accordance with the updated guidelines and protocols. Sama facilitated the session and helped in clarifying some of the queries raised by the participants.
Sama also disseminated copies of MoHFW ‘Guidelines and Protocols for Medico-legal care of the survivors of Sexual Violence’, and Sama’s information booklet on ‘GBV and strengthening health system’s response’ to the participants.
