Sama and Chaupal, along with the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Chhattisgarh Institute of Medical Sciences (CIMS), Bilaspur are organising a workshop on ‘Medico Legal Care for Survivors of Gender Based Violence’ for medical students, departmental staff and medical officers, on February 11, 2017 at CIMS, Bilaspur.
The workshop seeks to provide inputs to doctors, medical professionals and discuss with them the healthcare response to survivors of gender-based violence. The workshop will facilitate understanding of the provisions of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare Protocols and Guidelines for medico legal response to sexual (2014) as well as key legal and policy mandates towards strengthening health system response to gender based violence (GBV).
