Short course on GBV in Bhopal

Between January 6 and 10, 2005, Sama conducted a short course on Gender-Based Violence (GBV) titled “Addressing Gender-Based Violence as a Public Health Concern” in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. The participants included healthcare professionals, public health practitioners, and students from various regions of India.

The course covered gender inequity, GBV and its impact on health, effective strategies for recognising and responding to GBV in healthcare settings—including legal and medico-legal aspects—and capacity-building to provide sensitive and supportive care for GBV survivors.

Here are some photographs from the short course.
