This International Women’s Day, Sama – Resource Group for Women and Health stands in solidarity with women, girls, and gender-diverse individuals to call out power and reclaim our spaces. When we come together, our shared experiences expose the deeply entrenched systems—such as caste, patriarchy, and ableism—that work to silence marginalised voices. True liberation requires putting our fundamental rights to health, education, mobility, employment, pleasure, and gender justice exactly where they belong: at the center of the narrative.
We call for the immediate recognition of all forms of violence, particularly where intersecting marginalisations meet, alongside uncompromised access to comprehensive sexual and reproductive healthcare. Systems must be held accountable, and together, we will continue to lead, resist, and demand justice.
