Many CSOs and health networks working with rural and tribal communities have often expressed the need for accurate and reliable information related to the COVID pandemic, home care as well as referrals. Though the number of infected have come down in certain areas, many are still going through the crisis in other regions. There is also anxiety and fear of the infection spreading to the rural areas where access to dependable information or care facilities are difficult. Overuse of medication, irrational practices, lack of knowledge or access to digital technology, the use of tools such as oximeters, thermometers, etc., become very critical in such situations.
In this context, Sama is organizing a session on Tuesday, 15th June 2021, from 6 pm to 8 pm on COVID-19, home care and related concerns.
This training is primarily meant for the CSO representatives, health volunteers and frontline workers. We are inviting Dr. Yogesh Jain, Founder Member of Jan Swasthya Sahyog, Chhattisgarh, as a resource person for this session. Dr. Jain is a Paediatrician and Public Health Physician involved in community health programmes for over 20 years in rural and tribal areas of Chhattisgarh state.
ग्रामीण और आदिवासी समुदायों के साथ काम करने वाले कई संस्थाओंने COVID महामारी, घर पे देखभाल और रेफरल से संबंधित जानकारी मिलने की आवश्यकता अक्सर बताई है। हालांकि कुछ इलाकों में COVID संक्रमितों की संख्या में कमी आई है, लेकिन अभी भी हम इस महामारी के संकट से गुजर रहे हैं। समुदायों मै COVID संक्रमण की आशंका और भय भी है। दवा का अत्यधिक उपयोग, तर्कहीन प्रथाएं, डिजिटल तकनीक तक पहुंच की कमी, ऑक्सीमीटर, थर्मामीटर आदि जैसे उपकरणों बारे मै जानकारी की कमी पायी जाती है|
इसी कारण हम मंगलवार, 15 जून, 2021 को शाम 6 से 7.30 बजे तक स्वयंसेवी संस्था और संघटन के प्रतिनिधियों, स्वास्थ्य कार्यकर्ताओं और फ्रोन्टलाइन वर्कर्स (आशा,एएनएम) इनके के लिए COVID-19, घर पे देखभाल, संबंधित जानकारी और गतविधियो पर एक सत्र का आयोजन कर रहे हैं।
इस संदर्भ मै हम डॉ. योगेश जैन, छत्तीसगढ़ इन्हे इस सत्र के लिए सन्दर्भ व्यक्ति के रूप में आमंत्रित कर रहे हैं। डॉ. योगेश जैन ये छत्तीसगढ़ राज्य के ग्रामीण और आदिवासी क्षेत्रों में 25 वर्षों से सामुदायिक स्वास्थ्य कार्यक्रमों मै सक्रीय है| डॉ. जैन ये सार्वजनिक स्वास्थ्य चिकित्सक हैं। तथा वो जन स्वास्थ्य सहयोग संस्था के संस्थापक सदस्य भी है|
