Survivors of Gender Based Violence (GBV) continue to struggle to receive abysmal care and support. This has made the notion of “justice” seem exhausting and out of reach for many. As we recommit ourselves to the efforts of 8 March, it is essential for us to reflect on the evolving landscape of women’s rights. Sama is organising another sharing space on ‘Multiple Patriarchies, Collective Struggles: Gender Justice, Laws and Perspectives’. In this session, we will hear first from a prominent human rights lawyer and legal research expert Mangla Verma, followed up by an open discussion space for participants to share their concerns and experiences in continuing supporting GBV survivors in the face of such challenges.

जी.बी.वी. सर्वाइवर्स को देखभाल और सहायता प्राप्त करने के लिए संघर्ष करना पड़ता है। इन चुनौतियों ने कईं लोगों के लिए “न्याय” की धारणा को पहुंच से बहुत दूर बना दिया है। जैसा कि हम 8 मार्च को जुट रहे हैं, हमारे लिए महिलाओं के अधिकारों के उभरते परिदृश्य पर विचार करना आवश्यक है। समा ‘अनेक पितृसत्ता, एकत्रित संघर्ष: जेंडर न्याय, कानून और परिप्रेक्ष्य ‘ पर एक और साझा सत्र का आयोजन कर रही है।इस सत्र में, हम सबसे पहले एक प्रमुख मानवाधिकार वकील और कानूनी शोध विशेषज्ञ मंगला वर्मा से सुनेंगे, उसके बाद प्रतिभागियों के लिए एक खुली चर्चा का मंच होगा।
