In response to outbreak of Covid-19 in 2020 and the ominous impact it had on the lives of people, Sama immediately got in touch with its coalitions and networks, to strategize and facilitate the process of relief work with help of local organizations. These are organisations and groups that had been carrying out relief work in communities since the onset of the COVID-19 despite lockdowns. Sama, with help of such local organizations, initiated the process of providing relief materials and support to people from marginalized communities across Delhi, Uttar Pradesh (UP), Jharkhand and Bihar. This five-month report from March-July 2020 summarizes the efforts made by Sama through direct and indirect interventions.
