The knowledge resources we create cover a broad range of formats, including research papers, essays, articles, podcasts, training modules, policy briefs, information guides, videos, booklets and posters. We use mixed media to create and share knowledge, which includes podcasts on vaccine equity, a full-length documentary film titled “Can We See the Baby Bump Please?”, a pamphlet on COVID home care, and interactive tools such as the Fertility Wheel. We developed such diverse resources to make information more accessible and easier to apply for a variety of people we work with, including doctors, healthcare providers, community members, community-based organisations (CBOs), trainers, and young girls.
In addition, we have developed curricula for the University Grants Commission (UGC) and for the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) for their Masters in Gender Studies programme.
We use knowledge materials to support capacity-building initiatives, such as short courses for healthcare providers that build on our gender-based violence (GBV) training modules. We have also co-created an information guide to support networks in the community to respond to GBV more effectively.
We also collaborate with communities to develop videos and posters that amplify the voices of young leaders, using these materials to advocate for policy change on a range of issues.
The material developed and disseminated by us plays a crucial role in building awareness, initiating and informing debates on health and other issues. It also facilitates mobilisation of public opinion and changes in policies and programmes, making them responsive to people’s needs.
