Ghaziabad maid in custody battle beaten up

Ghaziabad: Thirty-four-year-old Neetu, the physically-challenged domestic help of a Ghaziabad placement firm owner, who claimed to have rented out her womb to bear her employers’ baby, was admitted to hospital after her employers allegedly beat her up on Monday.

Neetu’s mother Manorma Srivastava said: ”Doctors are so far unclear whether the five-month-old foetus Neetu is carrying will survive. She has suffered some internal bleeding.” Meanwhile, Kavi Nagar police station in-charge, Rajesh Chowdhary, said, ”So far we have not received any complaint about any injury being inflicted on Neetu. If reported, we will register a case.” The placement firm owner, Navin Pandit, declined to comment.
